AvidXchange Strongroom strives to create a product that is easy to use, high performing and provides our customers with superior paperless invoice products. We create release notes to best communicate the changes and updates we are making, as well as improvements to features to better serve your needs, as we continue to improve our products.

What’s New?

Enhancements to Invoice Auto Approval-Processing Reporting

When an invoice is auto approved, the auto approval log table will save the approval step that the invoice is approved to. The report can be executed against a maximum range of fourteen days.

  1. When an invoice has been successfully auto-approved, the Auto Approval Step will be displayed in the “Invoice Auto Approval -Processing Report.”
  2. When an invoice has failed the auto-approval, the Auto Approval Step will be blank and the Approval Status will display as “Failed.” The corresponding Failure Reason will be displayed in the report.

QuickBooks Administrators

IMPORTANT: This update only impacts QuickBooks systems that integrate with AvidXchange Strongroom. If you do not integrate with QuickBooks, these instructions do not apply to you. However, customers integrating with QuickBooks must perform these steps to continue integrating with AvidXchange Strongroom.

We will be renewing our QuickBooks certificate in this release. As a result, this will require you to reauthorize our application to have access to each QuickBooks company file after this date.

Please note, the integration can still be run prior to this date, but you will need to follow the instructions below after May 20th.

Instructions to Renew QuickBooks Certificate for AvidXchange Strongroom after May 20th:

  1. Open the AvidXchange Strongroom Integration tool from the Windows™ program menu.

2. You will then be prompted to run the AvidXchange Strongroom Integration Services Updater.

3. Click Install in the Application Updates section.

4. Login as an Admin in Single User Mode to the QuickBooks company file and launch the integration tool.

  1. When you run the integration, you will see a QuickBooks Application Certificate screen appear.

5. Select Yes, whenever this QuickBooks Company file is open to allow the application to read and modify the company file.

6. Click Continue…

7. Click Done to confirm access to QuickBooks.

8. You may now run the integration.

9. Repeat steps one through seven for each company file.
